Acai: Fresh, Juice, Pulp, Or Acai Capsules? Which Is Best?

You might have heard all about the super healthy nutritional benefits of acai, but did you know that it has to be processed correctly to get all of the benefits? A lot of companies pick the berries, send them to another plant, and then wait too long before producing their product and shipping it to your door. The good companies will just produce their supplement right after it is picked. This gets ride of the lag time between the harvest and finding its way to your tummy. Now we're going to talk about the different ways you can use acai. The best way to use acai: fresh off the tree. In case you don't live in Brazil, though, you can eat it dried, in pulp form, juiced, or as acai powder in acai capsules. The berries don't stay very well, so to keep acai fresh, it has to be processed quickly. As long as the berry is used quickly after it is picked, it can be put into lots of different forms to be eaten. Each way you can eat acai leads to different benefits. Acai in fresh form gives you tons of fiber and the highest levels of all the nutritents. However, you have to eat tons of the berries, which might make you full or at least really hyper after eating them (they give you energy). Acai pulp is a nice way to eat it, because it retains a lot of the fibers of fresh acai. You can use it to cook with, or in desserts and smoothies. It tastes good, like a mix between chocolate and blueberries. Another way to use acai is in juice form. Organic acai juice is really good for you because it uses the nutrients in acai really well. The kind with pulp in it is even better because the pulp contains a lot fiber still. What's bad though, is that companies which make acai juice sometimes put other juices as their main ingredients first. There ends up being not very much acai in the product at all. They put things like apple juice, pear juice, and grape juice in high quantities but still call it “Acai Juice”. Acai capsules are convenient and easy ways to get acai. They isolate the nutritional benefits and concentrate it in most capsules. Like I said before, it would be annoying to have to eat hundreds of acai berries and get the nutrients that way. Instead, you can take an acai capsule or two every day and save yourself the trouble. However, companies really have to be reputable and process them well in order to get a quality product. Acai capsules can be filled with bad quality acai. However, if you find the right company, it can lead to amazing results with weight loss, anti-aging, energy boosting, and skin care.
